School Gardens & Family Activities

The aim of the School Garden Challenge is to embed gardening and horticulture in the curriculum of a range of children and young adults, as education is at the heart of our charitable objectives.

This years theme for the school garden competition is ‘Wonders of the World’ which could be based upon one of the Seven Wonders of the World (including the Modern Seven Wonders or Natural Seven Wonders) or it could be a theme that is interpreted by each individual school to reflect their own ‘wonder’.

Lee Connelly, the ‘Skinny Jean Gardener’, is our School Garden Ambassador again for 2020 – he was here to launch the competition at our workshop day held in November and will be here at the show to host some more workshops for the students and also visiting families.
